Oracle announced they will support JD Edwards EnterpriseOne running on the iPad.
Which EnterpriseOne releases will the ipad work on?
As of Jan 1st 2012, the iPad support is limited to EnterpriseOne 8.12 and EnterpriseOne 9.0!
Does it offer any additional functionality?
Yes! Oracle has added an iPad application for Field Service Work Order to meet the demand of field technicians.
Is Field Service Work Order available on all versions?
No, unfortunately, we could only find an ESU for this functionality for EnterpriseOne 9.0
How do I access this functionality?
In order to access these new mobile capabilities you need to take EnterpriseOne tools release update to 8.98.4.5.
What are some of the features?
EntepriseOne on the iPad supports application gestures to making navigation more efficient and to meet your ever changing needs. It also offers context awareness so the correct keyboard is presented, i.e. the number pad appears when tapping a number field as well as the support for standard security and deployment features. And finally, it also offers specific field technician functions, which include instant access to documentation such as manuals, work orders, and important attachments.
Please keep in mind that the disconnected store/forward feature is not available on the iPad so you will to have a network connection to access and use applications.
How do I access the EnterpriseOne Tools Release update?
