Screencast Script - Installing HTML Server

  1. First we want to sign into Server Manage with the JDE_Admin account
  2. From the main screen you are going to click on “Management Agents” from the list of options on the left hand side of the screen.
  3. Here you will notice the machine name and port number. You will want to remember these because they are needed during the agent installation.
  4. This HTML server is on a PC so I am going to download the agent for Windows.
  5. Run the agent installer we just downloaded.
  6. I am going to use the default location and enter the machine name and port from earlier.
  7. Go ahead and click finish when the installation is complete.
  8. You can see the service was created and has been started.
  9. Let’s go back to Server Manager and look for the managed home we just installed.
  10. As you can see the managed home shows up now but there are still no instances.
  11. Go ahead and click on the new managed instance and we will need to create a new instance
  12. Click create new instance
  13. Here we will select Oracle Application Server if you are using Websphere you would select that
  14. Enter the information for your OAS installation and click continue.
  15. Click continue on the next screen and then click create instance.
  16. As you can see the instance has been created and is now running.
  17. We are going to create a new container for the instance
  18. I am going to start the container to ensure it is working
  19. Now we are ready to distribute the software to the server. Go to the main page and click distribute software
  20. Here we want to distribute the HTML Server.
  21. Click the checkbox of the server we are installing and hit distribute software
  22. You can see that the file has been transferred
  23. Now let’s go back to the new instance
  24. We want to create a new managed instance here.
  25. This time we will select HTML server
  26. Go ahead and enter the information for your new html server
  27. Now we will need to edit the settings to reflect your JDE system. If you are unsure where to find the needed information you can click the question mark.
  28. Go ahead and select create instance
  29. Now let’s start the new inst
  30. Go ahead and log in to test.
