We recently had a client that needed to back out of an ESU that was applied to DV and causing problems for them. The restore backup option was not working correctly because this option only restores the object specs back to the state they were prior to the ESU being installed. This option does not remove newly added objects or table records from the ESU installation which can cause instability down the road. If you want to completely remove the ESU you need to use the Update Uninstall option. You can do this by clicking “Remove Updates” on the form exit of the ESU application. You then will want to select the ESU you wish to remove and make sure to check "Remove History And Files (Uninstall)" then select “Remove Updates” from the form exit and it will be uninstalled. If you plan on reinstalling the ESU then you will need to once again download and rerun the ESU exe file.
